One of the things I love the most about college is FRISBEE.

I joined because I thought it’d be chill and fun way to stay in shape. NOPE. The first couple weeks of practice whooped my ass so bad, and I discovered that the world of competitive ultimate frisbee is nothing like the friendly games we played at CTY. I learned what a handler and cutter did, how to mark and force flick or backhand, how to dishy and huck the frisbee, and how to set a stack and run different handler sets. It’s a huge time commitment since there are 3-4 late night practices a week plus workouts on the weekends, and sometimes all the different plays can get confusing (wait cut to the break side? am I supposed to be marking deep-deep?). And I still have a loooot to learn to be even half as good as our current captains, but I love it!!

Frisbee is totally an underrated sport. People don’t realize that ultimate frisbee can be just as competitive as soccer or lacrosse. Plus frisbee guys are pretty in shape and tend to take their shirts off at tournaments ;)

SO MUCH GUNGHO LOVE <3
